So I'm back again with another pick up and the story behind it...A little over a week ago, I heard about the Sole Collectors website so I decided to check it out...They have an online Marketplace where people post items for sale mostly kicks...I've been wanting to get my hands on a pair of LeBron 8 All Stars but as usuall did not have the funds available when they were originally released not to mention they were very limited so it would have been difficult to get them anyways...I found a guy on the marketplace (juntao444) from Cali that had them in my size 11.5 and was asking $175 shipped for them...I was searching for these kicks online and found them going for as high as $275 without shipping so this was a deal I could not pass up...I sent a pm to the guy and submitted an offer...He did not accept my first offer before it expired but he emailed me and asked If I was still interested to submit the offer again...So I did, he accepted and I sent the money to him via paypal...I sent him a message telling him that I sent the money and to please provide me with a tracking...I did not hear back from him at all and to this day have still not heard from him...I sent him numerous emails and PMs with no response so I began to worry that I got taken for my money...So today a large package arrives at my door...My worries turned into anger when I saw that the person decided to just tape up the shoe box and mail it that way instead of double boxing it and shipping it to me...All sneakerheads know that the packaging on these All Stars are just as special as the shoes themselves...So you can understand why I'm pretty pissed about it but overall I got a really good deal on the shoes and the shoes are in brand new deadstock condition...As I write this, they are on my feet which immediately took them out of deadstock condition...lol...These shoes are amazing!!! Check out the pics of the destroyed packaging and awesome shoes after the jump...Stay tuned to my blog for future pick ups!!

Nike LeBron 8 V2 "Summit Lake, Yankees, & Entourage"
March 4th, 2011 was a big day for LeBron James fans every where...Nike decided to release 3 different colorways of the Nike LeBron 8 V2...It was the Summit Lake Hornets, New York Yankees, and the Entourage colorways of the shoe...Unfortunately, I was unable to cop any of them due to limited funds at the time of release...That weekend I visited my local Foot Locker / House of Hoops location at Willowbrook mall and talked to one of my boys at the store...He told me that the Entourage sold out in minutes and they still had the Summit Lake joints available but they did not get the Yankees ones in...However, Champs down the hall still had a full size run of the Yankees joints...Of all those shoes, I would have loved to had gotten a pair of the Entourage joints...The colors are just sick!!! Did you cop any of the LeBron's that day?? If so, which ones did you cop?? Check out some pics of the Summit Lake, Yankees, and some very detail shots of the Entourage shoes courtesy of Nicekicks.com and Marqueesole.com after the jump...

Air Jordan XIII "Playoffs"
So back on February 26th, 2011, Jordan Brand released a retro of one of my favorite sneakers for the first time in it's original colorway...The Air Jordan XIII "Playoffs"!!! I remember back in '97 when this shoe originally released paying $150 for it...My mom gave me an extra $150 to cop a pair for my brother too...We picked these up at a store called Sneaker Stadium, which is no longer around and did not last very long that year...The store had an indoor basketball court so you could lace up your kicks and test them out on the court...Forwarding to 2011, let's just say I was quite happy to hear that the retro was going to retail for $160 and the price only increased $10 from 1997-2011...I can surely say that this sneaker is definitely one of my favorites of all time...Did you cop the OG back in 1997?? Did you cop the retro in 2011?? If you did cop the OG, Do you still have them to this day?? Here are some stock photos of the shoe, my pickup, and my OG's...Let me know what you think...See pics after the jump...
Welcome to My Chambers!!!
What's up world and beyond!!! JaY33 has finally arrived and jumped onto the blogger bandwagon...I've been thinking about doing this for sometime now and have been motivated more recently by viewing a blog by a really cool dude that really knows his shit in this sneaker game...Another motivational factor came from watching these you tube channels that are full of videos from dudes doing unboxings, sneaker reviews, and providing information on upcoming releases...Thanks to them I've finally decided to start this blog called Sneaker Asylum...This is for people who are crazy about sneakers...It is a place for us to share our thoughts and opinions on kicks...Also, a place where I can provide you with an inside look into my personal collection...So let's get right into it and have some fun!!!
